Bhavya Gudimetla, Principal Engineer, provides planning and implementation study technical expertise for the integration of renewable sources in a manner that preserves the stability, reliability and operability of the utility systems and grid-side mitigation measures by using software applications like PSCAD, ETAP, SKM, MATLAB, Simulink, PSLF, CymDist, including power flow analysis, contingency and power quality analysis, static and dynamic reactive power requirements and optimization, Low-Voltage-Ride-Through analysis, reliability analysis of distribution systems, and analysis and verification of carbon reduction projects. Involved in system design and sizing of wind and solar technologies.
Ms. Gudimetla also provides CAPE System Simulator studies on utilities' Bulk Electric System stations, which includes the series of sensitivity checks to evaluate the settings of individual relay elements against selection criteria. She has a broad background in Power Electronics, Power Systems Analysis and Design, System Reliability Evaluation, Reliability and Maintainability, and Direct Energy Conversion. Bhavya received her M.S. from Oklahoma State University in 2008, and her B.Tech from JNTU, Hyderabad, India in 2006. She worked at Oklahoma State University as a research assistant during her master’s.
